Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) often referred to by her professionally-known surname Ari Lennox is an American musician and singer born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist affiliated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. Her debut EP Pho in October 21st, 2016, was released by Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she began to get fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It was released in May 2019. Ari Lennox uploaded her first music online in 2012. Her first album was the single Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014, she debuted additional music on the internet including Bound. On the 21st of July in 2015, she was featured on Omen's album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat it Out. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew back then and wanted her to perform on Rihanna references. The official signing ceremony was held to Dreamville Records on 8 December. She was featured on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II which featured the track Backseat alongside Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, the artist released her debut album called Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she appeared as a guest on two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas' Icarus. Ari Lennox's album debut Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. The debut single, called Whipped Cream of the album came out September 5, 2018 with an accompanying music video. The second single she released was, Grampa on November 9. In November, she released 13 two singles that were titled"No One and pedigree. The singer appeared alongside Cole in her Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby in the 16th of November, and she released the song as a solo single for the album she released her debut. A music video came out on the 20th of February in conjunction with the song. Within a matter of a week the video had more than 3,000,000 views. In December 2018, she performed as a supporting act on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour together with 6LACK.
